These words of wisdom remind us that every faulty thought and every selfish action start out as a heart problem. Every aspect of life springs from the desires and the condition of our hearts. When our hearts are impure, they will pump impurities to all parts of us, but when they are made clean, God’s goodness flows through us into all that we do. Thank You, Lord, for rescuing me from my sin. Even as I come to You, I struggle with my old sin nature and the desires that seek to pull me away from You. Purify my heart, Lord, and renew me from within. Shield my heart by Your righteousness so that I may walk in step with Your will and purpose. In Jesus’ name, amen.
