As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. Psalm 18:30(khv). It’s easy for us to say that God is perfect and that because He is perfect, His ways and His word are perfect. But what does God’s perfection actually mean for us, who are not perfect? It means that we can take refuge in His word and that we can trust in His ways. His perfection shields us like nothing else can because God alone is unable to fail. Lord, I come to Your word and Your presence seeking to know Your ways. Please guide me in Your perfect truth, and shield me in Your perfect love. My thinking is faulty, and my ways are prone to fail, so I depend on You, Lord. Thank You for the wisdom and refuge that I find in You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
